Yesterday, Sophie got up earlier than usual. I took her upstairs to change her and feed her and I turned on the weekend edition of the Today Show. They had ideas on how to keep boredom at bay on these cold winter days. I thought they were fine ideas, but nothing new to me. It must have been something I needed to pay attention to, because since then the kids have been crazy. They are so hyper, and come up with these games that always seem to end in injury. I feel like Mrs. Hannigan on
Annie whan she bursts in on the girls and yells "Is this hppiness I hear?" The constant giggling seems to get the kids in trouble. The moral: Pay attention when someone tells you to have more structured activities for your kids. I'm already trying to plan how to occupy their time tomorrow. Any grand, easy ideas are welcome.
Work. Lots of boring work. :-) Just kidding. I'm out of ideas. Good luck and pass along what works!
ReplyDeleteWe usually plan something big to make or bake. Jacob enjoys making pastries. I never care if they are not just righ. It is that we are all having fun together doing it. If anyone needs recipes for playdough let me know.
