Emma is 8!

We have an 8-year-old! I can't believe how fast time goes. Emma is such a good girl. It was fun to celebrate her eighth birthday on Easter. We have been talking a lot about what the Savior has done for us to help her get ready for baptism, and it made Easter even more powerful. She got her first set of scriptures and has already marked some verses that are meaningful to her.
Here are 8 things we love about Emma:
1. Her helfulness. She is always willing to lend a hand to her parents and siblings.
2. Her cheerfulness. She always has something funny to say, or just a smile to give.
3. Her understanding. She seems to comprehend things on a level not characteristic for her age.
4. Her interests. She is interested in so many different things. It will be interesting to see what she settles on as her area of focus in the future.
5. Her smile. She can really brighten our day.
6. Her desire to learn about the gospel.
7. Her creativity. She is always coming up with new ways to do things, drawing, painting, writing stories, etc.
8. Her. That's all. We just love her. She's cute, she's fun, she's pretty, she's clever, she's emotional (yes, that can be a good thing), she's spiritual, she's understanding, etc. I could go on, but I'll leave it at that.

Happy birthday, Emma! We love you.

Our digital camera is broken. We still have our film camera, but that means you have to wait until I get the pictures developed and scanned before you can see all the fun we had yesterday. But I'll make sure to get them as fast as I can.
